Anders & Cole Headquarters
An open-plan floor redesigned around speech privacy after the noise complaints stopped being occasional.
Anders & Cole moved into an open floor with hard ceilings, hard floors and glass partitions, and within a month speech privacy was the top item in every workplace survey. The physics were not subtle: nothing in the room was absorbing anything.
We modelled a ceiling cloud layout that broke up the flat hard ceiling without a full retrofit, added focus-room isolation for calls, and set a background-sound target for the HVAC system rather than leaving it to chance. Post-occupancy surveys logged the acoustic-complaint rate dropping by roughly two-thirds.
